Mellinda's love of music began at an early age. Influenced by her parents, her mother, an accomplished singer and her father a big band leader, composer and jazz trumpet player. As a child her favorite artist was Dizzy Gillespie. In a conversation with Mr. Gillespie at the Caravan of Dreams she was able to intimate to him that his music was her childhood lullaby.

As a featured guest artist at fine establishments and questionable juke joints throughout the Southwest Mellinda has regaled audiences with her perfect pitch. At the lefts she is shown performing with Bobby Baylor at Reflections Night Club in Fort Worth, Texas.

"On Norfork Lake" is an original composition written for 101 Norfork Resorts upcoming television advertisement .

Mellinda's current passion is spearheading the formation of the Mountain Home Area Musicians Association. The woeful lack of live performance in this area is something that this organization will strive to remedy. Watch this page for future developments.
