Mellinda Timblin began formal art instruction at age ten. She studied with Josephine Mahaffee in her Azle, Texas studio. Her earliest paintings are lost. Mellinda began work on a Fine Arts degree but quickly became disillusioned with what passed for art instruction at that level. She espouses an odd belief system that art and music should not be given over to politics. Although art work has proven a useful tool for govrnments and doctrines throughout history, they generally end up useing guns instead and then all we're left with is a lot of really bad political art. Her paintings have no message. Image titles followed by <American Frame.com> are available as reproductions. Commisions for murals and canvas are welcomed. |
